What to expect when you visit our services
Our aim is to glorify God. We strive to do all things in full accordance with His revealed will, out of love and appreciation for what He has done for us and out of a shared love for all souls (cf. Matthew 5:16; Colossians 3:17; John 14:15; Mark 12:30-31). When you arrive at our building for worship, we will make every effort for you to feel welcome. Whether you are a member of the Lord's church visiting from another congregation, or just visiting us to learn more about Christ's church, you are important to God and important to us. We are thankful and blessed to have you with us.
We have multiple opportunities for Bible Study throughout the week. including Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. Our Sunday and Wednesday Bible Studies consist of several classes in different classrooms arranged by age for the benefit of all participants. During these classes we strive to grow closer to our Lord and expand our knowledge of His will by studying His Word.
Our worship to God is practiced based upon the commandments and examples we have within the New Testament. Therefore, we pray together (cf. Acts 2:42), teach and admonish one another by singing songs of praise to God using our lips and our hearts as our instruments (cf. Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:15; Ephesians 5:19), hear the gospel preached (cf. Acts 20:7), partake of the Lord's Supper (cf. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 20:7), and purposefully give as we have prospered (cf. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2). As our guest you should not feel obligated to make a financial contribution. If you have questions about anything we have said or anything we have done, please ask any one of us after the service.
If you are expecting to be in the area and will be visiting from out of town, please contact us if there is anything we can do to assist you as you strive to meet with the Lord's church during your visit to the Durham/Raleigh area. If you are moving into the area or planning on an extended stay, please let us know how we can assist you. If you are a resident of the Durham/Raleigh area and are considering attending our services, please contact us should you have questions or desire more information. We hope we will see you soon.
